Chamber Welcomes New Board Members and Executive Team
The Bismarck-Mandan Chamber Board of Directors welcomes three new board members, is excited about the renewed commitment from five board members and announces the new executive team.
New to the board in 2012 are Rick Matteson from MDU Resources, Dan Pearson from Northwest Tire and Wayne Munson from Indigo Signsworks. Recommitted members include Jeff Neuberger from Mid Dakota Clinic, Greg Vetter of American Bank Center, Kleber Hadsell from Tesoro Mandan Refinery, Perrie Schafer of Schafer Financial Services and Mike O’Keeff e from Farm Credit Services.
“We’re excited to infuse new ideas and energy with the addition of Rick, Dan and Wayne,” said Chamber President Kelvin Hullet. “In addition, it is a compliment to our organization that five members would like to continue their relationship with us.”
The New Year also brings a new executive committee. Shannon Gangl, owner of Gangl Hospitality/Development, is the 2012 chairman of the board. Leslie Oliver from Vogel Law Firm is the chair-elect, Barb Aasen from Eide Bailly LLP the past chair, Tom Todd of Northwest Contracting the secretary and Dr. Craig Lambrecht from Medcenter One is the treasurer.
The Chamber thanks the following outgoing board members for their commitment to the organization over the past three years: Doran Schwartz from MDU Resources and Terry Kraft from American Family Insurance.
“We really appreciate the time and talent that Doran and Terry shared with the Chamber during their term on the board of directors,” said Hullet. “Each helped shape the Chamber over the last several years and challenge the staff to stretch themselves and the organization to better serve the community and members.”
Chamber board members serve a three year term. They are a part of a 27 member group tasked with providing direction to Chamber staff that meet’s the organization’s mission to “Advance the business and economic base of the Bismarck-Mandan community.”
