Tim Karsky has been named president of the Bismarck market for Starion Financial. He had formerly been commissioner of the Department of Financial Institutions for the State of North Dakota for the past nine years, and served as assistant commissioner prior to taking the top post.

Starion Financial has developed seminars to educate the public about identity theft. The company’s employees are available to present this information to students, community and service groups, businesses, churches, senior centers and other organizations.
The seminars teach ways to protect against common methods of identity theft, ways to guard confidential information, and provide instructions if someone’s identity has been compromised.
